| Comments | I know I am not a politician, nor have I followed this alone for the last 35+years or so (smiling), therefore I am not completely educated on all the layers that there are to such a huge project, however what I do know is the following: 1. That there will be numerous jobs created within the area. They are once again (along with the casino) different jobs (tourism, hospitality, entertainment, marketing, arts etc.) rather than just mainly manufacturing and distribution. 2. With a complex like this and a name like Wayne Gretzy, there will be other smaller businesses created =96 which than means more different jobs in our area. 3. It would be great to have a place in Windsor where we can go to enjoy a sporting or entertainment event. Michelle The list goes on but those are my thoughts in brief. :) |

| Comments | This is an awsome idea. World class by far. Every spits game will be full. Toldo and Rosati are the best for our city and county by far. I hope that this will come true for our region. World class attraction besides the Casino Windsor. I wish you guys the best with this project and with Mr. Gretzky. I am a huge Gretzky fan. I've worked at Gilligans on Walker Road in Windsor for the past 12 years. Lets make this a true thing because the SPITS need a new home besides the old BARN. GOOD LUCK GUYS! |

| Comments | Great idea, maybe too good an idea for Windsor council to adopt, but lets hope they succumb to a temporary lapse of reason. My one suggestion is to make the arena a bit bigger, 7500 seats minimum. The growth of the area dictates that in twenty years the 6500 seats will be proven to be too small. |

| Comments | I think it's a great proposal. It will take care of the ageing current race track as well as the "old barn". Many people I know and have talked to would go to more Spitfire games if we were comfortable in the seats. The racetrack we have now is embarasing to our city, I think combining the two would generate more revenue for both of them than if they were to do it seperatley. Lets get it done in the lifetime of the deserving people of this area who have been waiting 20yrs. for action instead of words and mistrust. |

| Comments | Great idea, but no PROVINCIAL CUP this year. It is like not having the KENTUCKY Derby on the first Saturday in May. A commitment to spend some money this year at Windsor Raceway must be seen to horseman for your integrity to the whole project and not just for the arena. Good luck. |

After all it was the private sector that provided the present Winsor Arena, and it is the local governments which have failed to deliver for close to 15 years now. Do it, do it right, do it without my forced subscription, and if you do it right, and I can afford the tariffs I will support you just as I supported the windsor arena when Mr. Bendo was the owner. Growing up I have played female travel hockey for over 10 years (I am now 19 years old), and it is obvious we are lacking a solid arena in the Windsor-LaSalle area. (Who knows with the Vollmer Recreation Centre..) My grandfather has also raced horses for I'd say at least the last 30 years, so I have spent my Sunday nights during my childhood at the "track". The racetrack has been a mess lately, but I believe it has great potential. Just wanted to voice my support. I believe it is a great location, a great innovative idea, and I am all for it. The Toldo's have been very active in the community, and I must say if the building is anything like the Toldo Health and Education Building at the University, wow will it look great. | Comments | This is a must do project, it has all the makings of a win-win for everybody involved, most importantly the people of essex county. This Facility will play a big part in the revitalization of this city as a Hockey Town and with the Wayne Gretzky name on the Restaurant, this will be a huge Draw for tourist. The Location of this proposed project is the Best there is in the county, with the RacetracK, slots and a preimer golf coarse next door. right next to boarder crossing access roads and away form downtown traffic. As for the Team of Rosati and Toldo, their Long history of doing quality projects in the city of Windsor,specks for itself, and their track record of giving back to the city, looking out for the people of windsors best interest speaks volumes. i had better get my spitfire Season tickets now,because they will be in big demand when this project is unvailed. |

I think that there would be more people going to the arena if there were more parking spaces... for the people that do not have vechiles especially for the seniors there can be a shuttle bus... | Comments | I am looking at the full page advertisement for the project in the Wednesday, July 26 edition of the LaSalle Post. My family has resided in the Town of LaSalle for the past 17 years. A project of this nature so close to home would be wonderful, especially is there is no cost to the residents of the City of Windsor and the Town of LaSalle. | Comments | I like this project, and being a resident in the Riverside area, I have no problem commuting out to the raceway area to watch the Spitfires. Windsor Arena needs replacing, and the area needs more ice pads. HOWEVER.....if the Spitfires are not the main tenant, then I give this project a resounding NO. Not interested in AHL, as long we have the Spitfires, who are the community team. |
