Comments This proposal sounds great for the community. It should bring in good revenue and looks like it will be an excellent addition to the race track.

Comments Thank heavens. It's about time too. My late husband Clyde played with the Spitfires way back when in the "Barn" as it was called then. And lacrosse also as did our son Jim play lacrosse and was with the Jr. B lacrosse Cdn champion team. Windsor has athletes and talent and spectators, so let's get this project going.

Comments Before any projects can be thought of in that area, they need to do something about the traffic and four way stop at Sprucewood and Matcheete.

Comments Although I am not abreast with this latest development, I am very excited about the unlimited possibilties that these two GREAT families bring to the table. I am 40 years old and can not remember the last time I was this excited about any potential project in this fine City. You have my support.

Comments This proposal is by far one of the best proposals tabled to date, the location off this type of complex is ideal, the revenue generating opportunities for all parties to succeed is ideal. I do understand the complexity of a project of this size and merit, being laid at the feet, of an already Indecisive and squeamish counsel, why they choose to delay or to not support this proposal is beyond me.

This project sounds to be built on solid business planning, why do you even ask for Counsels pockets to open, just bloody well apply for zoning and permits and build it.

Just while your at it maybe ask for a percentage of the proceeds already alotted from slot and gaming revenues to stay, to help offset costs of operating this facility that way nobody looses, after all it will be the public who ultimately support this entertainment venue with cash out of pocket, I BELEIVE THE LOCATION OF THIS FACILITY IS WHERE I WOULD SPEND MY CASH.

Comments What are we waiting for? This is long overdue.

Comments I have great respect for the backers and what they can achieve. Logistics is great from Windsor, but what about the central and southern part of the county. Roads & neighbourhoods can handle the volume?
Is it an oasis in the trees or are other developments planned to make it broader in scope?

Name Paul
Comments I've watched proposals come and go but this one is a no-brainer. What more has to be said? If the Mayor wants to leave his mark in this region, what a better mark than this one. Let's get the shovels in the ground so the sticks can get on the ice.

Comments Great proposal though confused as to why mayor francis & city council are not taking this proposal more seriously.
It's time Mayor Francis & Council take the high road & fast track this issue, resolve the arena issue once & for all, before the next election-it can be done before the new council is elected. God help them all if they turn this into an election issue.
The Toldo & Rosati families have developed a great business plan though I feel the # of seats should increase to 8500--windsor is no different than london--build it & we will come!!--where do I sign up for my spits season tickets?
Goodluck to all the principals involved & especially to the city of windsor & surronding residents.

Comments Great idea, I've been waiting over 45 yrs. CITY OF WINDSOR WILL never get off their xxx to get anything, can't even talk to your elect in Ward 1 they don't CARE about sports, I am glad I hear the 2 from area are not running they know didn't do anything but vote against everything just sick city windsor.

Comments After more than 20 years of rejections from city council, this project is the best one I have that has come along. Both the Toldo and Rosati families have a proven track record for their business ventures and I am positive that this one will be their best one yet. Lets give the Windsor Spitfires a new home.

Comments I hope that this project can be followed through with as Lasalle and surrounding areas really need this complex-and not at the tax-payers expense.
Great job!!! Good luck!!!

Name Annonymous
Comments Nice idea but the location sucks. How about putting this thing in the city rather than on the outskirts.
Answer / Rebuttal: Parking facilities downtown would pose the biggest problem, not to mention the traffic congestion.  More people will visit the arena when they know that parking is not a problem.  The Raceway site is convenient to travelers from all over.

Comments I am pleased to see the interest by 2 local families that have contributed so much to the areas already. I believe a new arena is needed. A new arena is definitely needed and I believe it will help the City of WIndsor in many ways.
Goodluck!!

Comments This is a great opportunity for the city,we have lost out on 20 years of areana building, its time city council signs off on this proposal so all the people of windsor can enjoy a first class facility. The new owners of the spits deserve this as much as all essex county residents.
To all city councilors the elections are right around the corner don't let us down yet again!!.
