We encourage and strongly support the Rosati and Toldo groups with PROJECT ICE TRACK. It is an ideal project for the community and its people. It would give families a place to go for a wide variety of entertainment. Having two small kids, it would be exciting to be able to go somewhere close to watch the ice capades instead of going to Michigan. It would definitely attract alot of tourists and local people to our region. It would not only attract people to the area but it would keep the people of this community employed. We say "yes" to Project Ice Park!! |

Kudos and more Kudos. Thank You Mr. Toldo and Mr. Rosati for finally bringing some vision and hope to this dream of us long time members of Windsor. We sure hope that the City of Windsor views this idea as positive as we the public of Windsor does. |

This would be the best thing that could happen for this area it would help the race track & the Gretzky restaurant would be a draw so get her done boys, good to see the Rosati Group getting it together. I just hope it does not have to go though the same b.s & take as long to put a shovel in the ground |

I think that you should call the arena "BIG THREE ARENA"
Tell the three auto companies in the city that you will display each of their logos on the building. (For a fee of course) |

As a long time Spits fan it's time for a change in environment. I've travelled to London, Sarnia, Saginaw and Plymouth and marveled at their arena and wondered why can't we have an arena like this.
I have great doubts in the city of windsor counsel to construct a much needed facility in windsor. The barn is the second oldest operating arena in the province. It's an embarrasement to have teams to come here to this old arena. The stands are filled with 3000 people crammed in the stands. The facillity is not compatible for handicap and injured people or for seniors with difficulties. There are not enough floor seats to hold all people with difficulties and disabilities to go up in the stands. It's a bigger embarrassment during the summer with tournaments and no air conditionning given to the stands.
It's time for change, for a new arena and home for the spits. I like to thank the Toldo and Rosati families for bringing this into their own hands because it will proabably take ano ther 10 years for the city of windsor even comes up with a blue print of a new arena. |

As a quick response, and totally out on a limb, what would make perfect sense, and would make a fortune back in profit, would be a indoor go kart track facility. If i had the $$$ i would do it myself. This city and it's surounding area is filled with racing nuts, I mean you can't get 4000 fans in the "BARN" even when the Spits are a contender. The city has a very low loyalty rate when it comes to hockey. You have so many people routing for the leafs, red wings, and canadians. all at one time. Band wagon jumpers i say. But yet you go to race tracks all over southwestern ontario, and the mid united states, and atleast 1/4 of the fields are guys from this area, and the fans pack the same ratio. "DEDICATED"
Run arrive and drive programs, and designated league nights, and allow for 3000-5000 seats all paying 8-14 dollars per seat, with drivers paying 10-15 dollars to race with payouts and trophies, aswell have a section for consecions, keeping the cost of the items down to reality, and your laughing. You would also have the oppurtunity, to have sanctioned events, and it's all year round, not just 6-8 months.
Thanks any one interested or wanting more of my views, email me or contact me 1-519-566-9497 |

The wife and I are empty nesters, nearing retirement and have resided in a downtown condo since 1985. The core is very dynamic for entertainment and business enviroments, but most certainly not the degree of a SPOTS ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE being proposed by the wishers of the city coffers.
On the otherhand the "ICETRACK" proposal is nothing less than excellent. Please, please go forward with all the political will you can muster. In the event Windsor's financial allotment is denied then go it alone. Your two families have proven resources to put this in place and I am more than positive the public and sports community will support the project 100% ++.
I know, we are!!!!! |

This project is LONG overdue and will create some much needed jobs in the area. As Windsor taxpayers we are 110% in support of this project.
This should be a no-brainer for Mayor Francis and City Council! Let's get this started!!!! |

After my local LaSalle council and Mayor turned their back on having one of the top builders and local donators in Essex County build our community Arena complex, I am 100% behind the Rosati family for this nearby facility.
I find it amazing that the Rosati Group was able to bounce back so quickly and put forth an even stronger project along with the help of the Toldo group.
These two families have both done amazing things in our area including donating money, land, and buildings for our health, leisure, etc... I myself have been affected almost on a daily basis by both of these family's time and donations. For example, I enjoy being involved in sports played at the Novelletto-Rosati Complex and at the local Sandwich Secondary High school Track complex which both involve time and money spent by the Rosati family.
I would also like to thank both families very much for their donations to the Windsor Regional Cancer Clinic.
Approximately 2 1/2 years ago, my fat her was diagnosed with lung cancer.
Over a years time, he visited the new facilities at the hospital almost weekly before his death. The facility is very conforting and spacious allowing my Dad to recieve his care quickly and with the least pain as possible. I will never forget that contribution.
Overall,I think the location is perfect especially being affiliated with the Windsor Raceway, which has been an important part of our community for decades. What an Ideal situation for the city of Windsor by decreasing the impact on the city's budget and still continue to pull back profits. Also the tax payers don't end up in the same situation as the LaSalle council has put our community in.
I hope to be buying season tickets for the Spitfires in the near future! |

As a local Realtor, I'm dedicated to improving the city and it's amenities to attract people into the area, as well as job creation. Looks like it would be a fabulous venue and can't wait till it opens. With our Canadian dollar's recent strength, we need to create a better reason for the American tourists to visit our area and spend their dollars. I'm sure our mayor would agree that strengthening the non-automotive employment sector in the Windsor area would be extremely beneficial to everyone in the area. Now we just need to figure out a way to utilize our waterfront area to it's fullest... |

Before any projects can be thought of in that area, they need to do something about the traffic on Matchette Rd. |
| Answer / Rebuttal: |
You have a good point, and we will be working with each municipality on this subject. Remember that the Raceway has parking for 3000 vehicles and in fact has handled significant traffic in the past. |

Sounds really great, and it's something the city desperatly needs. The only suggestion I would like to make is that it should be a little bigger, somewhere in the 7500-8000 seats for hockey. Also if possible, maybe 3 pads, instead of 2. You could attract many hockey tournaments, as well as many larger venues with more seating. Something to think about. |
